"It shows that even a small investment of time can make a real difference by helping with these kinds of tasks."

Sustainable Development Goals:

AOMB Intellectual Property not only helps Vitalis WoonZorg Groep Wilgenhof with decorating, but also with taking down the Christmas decorations.

Several AOMB employees had previously helped decorate Vitalis Wilgenhof. When Vitalis Wilgenhof asked if they could also help take down the Christmas decorations, four colleagues were quickly willing to take on this task as well. It may be a less visible job, but it is just as valuable in creating a pleasant and familiar environment for residents.

“At AOMB, commitment is one of our core values, and we believe it is important to be at the heart of society and connected to our environment,” says Judith Bijnen of AOMB Intellectual Property. “We do this not only through our own work, but also by working together as a team or individually to contribute to society.”

Taking down the Christmas decorations elicited different reactions. “Putting up a Christmas tree can count on more positivity than taking it down,” Patrick van Ginneken and Jolijn Emmers admit honestly. “But it was nice to see that there were also residents who were happy that everything was back to normal and that their regular spot in the central area had returned. It shows that with a small investment of time, you can really make a difference by helping with these kinds of tasks. And tidying up is simply part of life.”

Vitalis Wilgenhof would like to see this department of AOMB return: “They are real go-getters; they only left when everything was completely finished. And the fact that they came to help despite a very busy working day says a lot!”
