On Thursday, April 16, the region once again came together for the Samen voor onze Regio Clean-Up Day 2026
Sustainable Development Goals:Spread across six locations, more than 300 corporate volunteers, along with 75 children and 30 seniors, took to the streets to clean up litter. Armed with litter pickers and handyhoops, they worked tirelessly to create a cleaner living environment.
The effort yielded impressive results: a total of about 200 trash bags were filled with waste. The number of cigarette butts and vapes found was striking. But larger and unusual objects were also collected, such as a car bumper, a shopping cart, and even trolley wheels.
Participants started from various locations across the region, including Speelpark de Splinter, Vitalis WoonZorg Groep Wilgenhof, the municipal yard in Eindhoven, Saltoschool de Driestam, D’n Burgemister in Veldhoven, and Eindhoven Airport.
The Clean-Up Day is an initiative of Samen voor onze Regio and was organized in collaboration with the City of Eindhoven, Ergon, Vebego Groen, Troep Troopers Eindhoven, and Stichting GoClean Veldhoven. Together, they demonstrate how collaboration between businesses, residents, and organizations can contribute to a cleaner and more pleasant region.
In addition to the hard work, there was also time for socializing and fun. The event brought together different generations and organizations, creating a friendly and engaged atmosphere.
