It was an extra special morning, because today we welcomed the 5,000th corporate volunteer of the year: Linda Geraeds from DLL!

Although this is a special milestone, for us it’s not about the numbers. It’s about the impact we make. Every individual volunteer counts towards that impact, as does every hour they devote to the cause.
But what 5,000 volunteers do show is that the movement is growing. By leaps and bounds. Already 60% more than last year. More and more people are finding their way to corporate volunteering. More and more people want to devote their time, knowledge, and attention to a social organization. And that makes our region stronger, more social, and more inclusive.
The 5,000 volunteers who have contributed so far this year have done so for a total of more than 20,000 hours. If everyone in our region did one day of volunteer work, that would add up to 3.5 million hours.
Imagine what that could mean for our region… We continue to dream!
